The world’s most popular websites will soon be your new gaming buddies
Gamestop, the biggest gaming retailer on the planet, has finally unveiled its own gaming app.
The app is called Gamestops and it is the first one to allow gamers to connect with friends in real time through a messaging app.
Gamestopped has already made its way onto iOS and Android, but the company has not yet launched the app for Windows 10.
The company claims that Gamestopping will let you “connect to friends from across the world, chat with friends from anywhere, and play with friends anywhere.”
This is great news for gaming fans who have struggled with the lack of real-time multiplayer gaming on their devices.
GamESTop has also promised to add more features and content over time.
If you’re looking to buy a game, Gamestoppers offers a list of deals and discounts.
In addition to the app, the company also plans to introduce a gaming loyalty program in the coming months.
For $1.99 per month, Gamers can sign up to receive an email notification when a game is available.
“We know how important games are to us, and we want to give you a reason to come back,” Gamestoppers CEO Mark Rosenzweig told TechCrunch.
In order to play, you’ll need a phone with a Bluetooth 4.0 or 5.0 connection.
The company says that the app will connect to the Gamestoins cloud server so that you can play your games wherever you are.
Gametoins will also be available for Windows Phone, Android, Mac, and iOS devices.
The new app also offers support for both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive virtual reality headsets.
Gamers will be able to share the app with friends and family members and also download additional content.
